Sarah and Simon Yearsley, owners of the Scottish Deli, love living in beautiful Highland Perthshire and want to share their passion and enthusiasm for all the great produce available locally with visitors and locals alike.
To this end they took the plunge in July 2015 and acquired the two Scottish Deli shops in Dunkeld and Pitlochry.
Both Sarah and Simon have a long standing interest in growing, foraging and making their own food. Over the years this has involved salami and sausage making in the garage, foraging for wild mushrooms and drying them at home, more or less successful homebrew cider production, countless attempts at producing the perfect Sloe Gin with locally picked fruit, and hours spent making bread, jam, chutney and lots of cakes.
Being based in Highland Perthshire means that the shops have an amazing natural larder on their doorstep and this is mirrored in the range of delicious produce on the shelves. Smoked salmon, honey, venison, craft beers, berries, mushrooms and fungi are just a few of the Scottish Deli’s favourites.
Sarah and Simon, along with our shop managers, Ruth in Dunkeld and Ady in Pitlochry and our brilliant staff team, are passionate advocates for locally produced food and are always on the look out for special new products to share with their customers.
